Viola/Violin
Being a member of a musical family is a huge blessing for me. My mother and father both learned to play the piano as children and greatly like music. As a child, I was fortunate and grateful that my parents frequently took my siblings and me to plays, musicals, operas, and ballets. My parents pushed me to play an instrument because they both had good musical experiences. Since I was about 4 years old, I have played the violin and I added the viola at the age of 10. Sometimes my father may even play the piano for me, which is always entertaining and this helps my violin and viola playing. I want to keep learning and playing these instruments for the rest of my life because I love the challenge and the thrill I get when a scale, arpeggio, exercise, or piece of music comes together and I perform it well. I adore playing as a soloist and with orchestras because the violin and viola really allow me to convey my emotions via music. I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had a superb violin and viola teacher, as well as a superb conductor and mentor, in my life for many years.
I’ve also practiced singing a lot, both solo and in choruses and musical performances, and I’ve taken a few lessons along the road. I truly like this, and I want to keep singing all the way through my education.

Dance/Theatre/Voice
I have always really loved and appreciated the arts, such as dance, theater, voice, and visual or digital arts. I feel that I have a artsy side, and I love to draw and paint. I also have an interest in photography and digital drawing. I have been a ballet student for many years, and I love it! I’ve preformed in many plays and theater productions as well. I feel that the arts are a chance for people to slow down and appreciate the beauty in small things, that is what draws me into an artistic mindset! The arts are not only beautiful, but they are meant to impact you. I feel that art has definitely impacted my life and it has transformed me into the person I am today.
